COURSE DESCRIPTION
Dental providers are often unsure how to fully leverage the hygiene department as a driver of clinical excellence, profitability, and culture. This two-day, highly interactive retreat is designed to transform hygiene from a “support role” into a true growth engine of the practice. Using The Hygienepreneur™ model, Tiffany Wuebben, RDH, will guide teams through mindset, mission, communication, protocols, and implementation strategies that elevate patient care, case acceptance, and team engagement. Participants will clarify their hygiene department’s purpose, standardize periodontal and adjunctive care protocols, strengthen communication and handoffs, and address bottlenecks that limit efficiency. Through short lectures, roundtable discussions, written assignments, and roleplay, attendees will leave with a clear hygiene mission, aligned standards of care, and an actionable plan to create a thriving “hygiene practice within a practice.”
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
-Apply The Hygienepreneur™ mindset to define a written hygiene mission and vision that align with the overall practice and the Triple Win philosophy (patient, provider, practice).
-Demonstrate leadership and communication skills that build trust, enhance team culture, and elevate the patient journey through hospitality-focused, 5-star experiences.
-Develop standardized periodontal and adjunctive care protocols—including assessment, documentation, coding, and indications—so that all providers follow consistent, evidence-based standards.
-Utilize patient-centered advocacy, clear scripting, and effective hygiene-to-doctor handoffs to increase patient understanding and case acceptance for recommended care.
-Identify efficiency bottlenecks in the hygiene department and propose practical implementation steps to improve flow, productivity, and long-term sustainability.

Focus on finalizing protocols, improving flow and efficiency, clarifying adjunctive services, strengthening handoffs, and creating an implementation plan.
